Harbor View, also often referred to as the “Port Streets” area, is arguably Newport Beach’s most family-friendly neighborhood. Built in three phases from the late ‘60s to the early ‘70s by the Bren Company, it is a tranquil, tree-lined community and the vast majority of Harbor View homes are large and lie on expansive lots. Kids need room to grow and you’ll find plenty of space here.
Newport Beach Realtors will tell you that Harbor View has been one of the area’s most sought-after communities for years even though it doesn’t exactly have a view of the harbor. Still, like all Newport Beach communities, it is just minutes away from the coast and offers plenty of other appealing features such as clubhouses and swimming pools, parks and nature trails, and highly regarded schools.
Homes in Harbor View
Harbor View homes come in a diversity of shapes and sizes, though they all lean towards more traditional designs. This enhances the community’s established feel and lends it a slightly nostalgic air. Though it originally only offered six home models to choose from, you will now find plenty of remodeled and custom-built homes here as well.
